Cosmetics often have a beneficial effect on our skin. However, it is worth remembering to regularly check the expiration date. Expired cosmetics can be harmful to our skin. Find out how to read the expiration date!
Usually you can check the expiration date on the packaging. It appears on the label, sometimes under the abbreviation EXP or PAO. EXP stands for “Best before date”. This is the date declared by the manufacturer until which the product will retain its properties. The second term used is PAO. This abbreviation refers to the Period of Time After Opening, i.e. the expiry date of a cosmetic after opening a container. The period is given in months, e.g. 3 M, 6 M, 12 M, etc. After this time the cosmetic may lose its properties.
